I think it was stuck in my outbox - it has definitely gone now - had a dental appointment so was in a bit of a rush. Just to confirm, I sent it to your private email address. :-D

The avatar does look uncannily like Alan Johnson, ex-Home Secretary :|
That's it, time for a makeover then!

Thanks Marc just got them. I will hand this over to my mech 1st thing tomorrow after work. He did ask if I could find a wiring diagram for the bsi as he is having difficulty finding one. With this diagram he said he should be able to re-wire the broken wires without having to chase them all until he finds the broken one or 2. Thanks for all your help...hopefully i'll have it back by Christmas hahahaha :rofl2:

Ok, I may be able to help with wiring diagrams - I will need your VIN though when you can get that to me. I assume he'll need the engine ECU one. There isn't one for the BSI generally, but other related components that link into the BSI are shown with their connections - so ask him which ones he needs.

Can we assume the engine swap by Citroen was for an identical engine? If so, then the original VIN will still suffice Welshie - as this will tell us what manufacturer / versions of the injection system you have on the car and the rest of the specs. If Citroen did the job, they would have in all likeliness replaced it for the same engine, which would keep everything the same for future diagnostics etc.

I believe it was a like for like engine. As you say I too would have thought that citroen would put an identical engine in to prevent future complications but can't be sure till I get back to the garage later today as I stupidly left all the van receipts of previous work and Mot's with the mechanic so he can see what's been done previously. I also believe the v5c is amongst the paperwork.

Vin number: VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
Also he does have the black box pictured further back in this forum. He has 2 but none seem to be communicating

Ok, I've sent you an email with the BSI wiring connections, the engine junction fusebox and key, plus the Injection principle, wiring and location diagrams. If you need identification of components - then see my wiki guide here:
PSA Component Codes
