I am confused!

Post by Hell Razor5543 »

I know that confusion is a normal state for me, but at this moment I am more confused than normal. I was in Waitrose today, and I found that they had vegetarian Haggis for sale.

Hang on! I thought that the little sods were, at best, omnivorous, and normally were carnivorous. I mean, the Scots use them to guard the borders from marauding Sassenachs, and they would attack if one got within 100 miles. I heard that three Rottweilers cornered an adolescent domesticated Haggis, and it broke their legs (so they could not escape) and then ate them. The only creatures that can manage wild Haggis are wild Picts!

Who the heck is breeding these fakes? It cannot be the Scots, as they have too much fun watching them chase Sassenach tourists around the mountains.

Vegetarian haggis makes no sense James, a bit like non-alcoholic beer...

In all seriousness, I'd love to know what it's made of as there is no veggie equivalent of offal which I believe real and genuine haggis is made of...

I expect Davie will soon be along to put us right!

FAKE News, they were English Huggies, a breed recently imported and painted in blue crosses to bolster SNP votes.
They only eat the remains of Kebabs (the bread and green bits) found on the streets of Newcastle at 3am in the morning, hence the misconception of being "Vegetation".

The skins are made into boots for council house dwellers.

Here the fakes are;

http://www.waitrose.com/shop/ProductVie ... ian+haggis

Mind you, Waitrose have come up with an unusual recipe using PROPER haggis;

http://www.waitrose.com/home/recipes/re ... sauce.html

I created the same post elsewhere, and (apart from a few other confused members) I got this response;

Non veggie haggis is lovely, probably I'd like the Veggie one too as I like my Veggie sausages. There is a Cafe in North Wales that does a good breakfast and you get the choice of Haggis or Black Pudding, I take both.

There will be a directive from the EU shortly saying you can't call it a haggis!
