I've recently acquired a year 2000, Xantia 90hdi. Wanted the 110 but none available at my price range. This seems to go very well, much more sprightly than the 1994 td, with the XUD engine. It's better on fuel too, around 50mpg. Question is, what am I missing by not having the 110 hdi? I've never driven one, but understand they have an intercooler (like the old td) and different ecu settings. I tow a caravan- just over a ton weight.

The Xantia HDi 90hp does not have an intercooler. I used to own a V reg example for a short while. It also had an amazing ability to leak diesel at very high pressure from various places.

Sorry about that, I did not mean to come over as a World Authority on the subject.
Its just everytime I mention the Xantia that I had, my blood tends to boil. Its the worst car I have ever owned. I only had it 10 days.
Luckily, after some "negociation" I managed to obtain a credit note to the value of the Xantia from the dealer. Credit note in hand I saw this Berlingo Multispace in the showroon, new, and purchased it for Mrs W to replace an ailing Visa D. This left me vehicleless so I got another ZX TD. Funnily enough, thats what I was driving before the Xantia fiasco 10 days beforehand!!!!
