Nice set up Jim. Do you knock a few riffs out on the guitar at the same time?

Re: Citroen Synergie 1.9td.
Ah well this exercise bike is being a bit uppity and works when it feels like it, so tonight I removed the control console for the third time and stripped the pcb right out. I couldn't see any dry joints but there were some stains possibly water and a separate card on a flying lead with four tactile switches that looked like it had been repaired. I used a small stiff brush and cloth and gave it all a good clean up before refitting it onto the bike. Powered it up and it had a think and then came on. The lcd looked a bit pale at first but I entered a program and it worked with the stepper motor correctly adjusting the resistance. The only thing that doesn't work is the pulse monitor pads on the handlebars which is annoying but I might just buy a wristwatch type monitor from ebay or Amazon. I'll see what happens tomorrow when I try it. Oh and it definitely needs a better saddle as it is quite uncomfortable!

Dave, I've never known those pulse monitor pads to work on any machine I've tried...
Best to get a proper heart rate monitor... I'm after one with ANT+ connectivity so that it can link to my Garmin so I can see what the old ticker is up to when cycling...

Ah, ok Jim. The ones on Wifey's treadmill work fine I never realised they are not too reliable.

Stop it you lot you're making me sweat just reading about all this exercise nonsense I think that provided your diet is reasonable a brisk 40 minute daily walk will suffice.
All that running wrecks the knees and ankles.

Yes, maybe but it makes you feel good That 'runners high' is addictive...Gibbo2286 wrote:All that running wrecks the knees and ankles.
Touch-wood my knees and ankles are OK... I do get told to watch my knees a lot...
Actually, you're right. A good brisk walk and a good diet is all that's really needed to maintain good health... Any more than that really and you're crossing over into athlete territory and all that goes with it...

I'll settle for the 'walkers high' as I shuffle from the front door to the car, thankyou.
Might even buy some of those walker's crisps to help me along.

Today I refitted the original Citroen radio cassette. With the modern radio Richard had fitted it got to the point of press a button and see what happens![emoji16] It was just too complicated for me. I was surprised an impressed by the sound quality from the old unit.

Re: Citroen Synergie 1.9td.
I now what you mean Dave, I have the same problem with the clever one in Gabriel... Especially at night when listen to a CD...
The old ones are good... And if they have a 3.5mm aux input jack they are very functional indeed...
