Rightio - finally got off my lazy ass and pulled the sunroof, relatively easy, it turned out.
It wasn't looking all that flash, however - the tray seems to be in pretty good nick, a few rust spots around drain pipe area, have yet to give it a good poke with a screwdriver but it doesn't have any duct tape or body filler repair that I can see...
the sunroof panel itself seems to have fair bit of rust, especially the part inside the draft seal - I have yet to part the panel off the tray.
I'll put some photos up when I get them apart.

Coming on Springtime in your half of the globe - Autumn for us. Know the feeling of 'mañana' - been doing that for the last four months! Life gets in the way, and then an interesting book arrives . . .

I'm gonna have a go at making a lexan replacement panel, fixed permanently while working on a proper fix. Not quite what I had in mind when I bought it, as I had enough rust problems when I had a Fiat....

Update:
It's almost ready to get it back on the road. Sunroof and tray are fixed (sort of) and the gap between the aft edge of the sunroof and the cutout has been filled using silicone.
A couple more things left to do (not essential to roadworthiness though) - front and rear spoilers. Segments of the attachment lips on the bumper for the front spoilers are torn away, so the spoilers are sitting a bit wobbly. I'd like to know if there is any cause for them to be removed for access. Otherwise I can make up reinforcement plate on the backside of the spoiler and bolt up and glue to the bumper.
As for rear spoiler, the attachment brackets I made didn't quite work out - it can be done but would be a lot of fiddling about, so probably easier to buy one. Looking on eBay and Leboncoin.

Long time since I had GSA spoiler issues! I do remember them being a little on the flimsy side. Problems may arise if they are strengthened in that more damage might be caused to the front valance if they come up against a hard object like kerb stones. Sacrificial lambs come to mind.

It'll be basically a couple of brackets made from an aluminium sheet so I think it'll still fail there - good point nonetheless. Halfway thru at the moment.

I decided to just stick the spoiler with sealant adhesive - hopefully won't fall off...
By the way, is this the stock windscreen setup?

How do you get the nozzle off? The driver's side just drivels off and I'm not sure if it's blocked or the setup is bogus (I.e. driver's side nozzle has integral T splitting to passenger side nozzle)

Looks the same as mine. T piece in the right one, the left into the strengthening rib.
The jets are pushed into the rubber grommet. But before attempting to remove (sods law will allow the grommet to disintegrate) poke something down the jet from above. Most likely just blocked with something, and give a good blow through.

PS Spoiler - could maybe attach a discrete safety wire/cable tie to said spoiler so as not to lose the little devil. Means a couple of small holes though.

Will try to poke with wire brush bristle tomorrow. The bonnet insulation blanket is stuck fast so fingers crossed it doesn't need to come out. I thought about safety wire idea for the spoiler but the idea came a bit too late as I already plugged hole for the rear glass wiper motor - that would have been perfect.

Went for a run this morning, thinking it's all ready for WOF (NZ equivalent MOT). For some reason, all electrics dropped soon after starting up - no lights, no indicators, no instruments, no nothing - occasionally instruments came back for a second or two. The car ran fine otherwise. Got home and restarted, everything seems to be all good now.
I took the instrument panel out for bulb replacement earlier so possibly that has something to do with it I suppose. Also I don't think I quite got the speedo cable in - I never felt it went it properly no matter what I tried - any pointers? And maybe photos of how the speedo cable runs off the gearbox and to the bulkhead in the engine bay?
PS I managed to clear the wind screen washer jet blockage with a wire brush bristle.
PPS Rear spoiler seems to be stuck solid with sealant/adhesive, doesn't come off when pulled up with rear hatch =)
