C6 review

Post by Mandrake »

Bit of an odd one this, an American reviewing the C6 vs the Fisker hybrid Electric :rofl2:

I'm assuming the C6 is privately imported as I didn't think any where sold to the US...

Strange car that Fisker - a Tesla it isn't!

Only the Americans could describe something with a 2-litre petrol engine as "an electric car".
I did like the line about the C6 though - 'a car those no-one else has'.
I think they were genuinely surprised about how capable the Citroen was. They should get out more.

The Fisker is an Electric car though, albeit a hybrid. It's a fully electric drive train, the petrol engine is only there as an on-the-go charger to charge the batteries as an alternative to plugging in, it doesn't power the wheels directly in any mode. There are plenty of other Electric Hybrids that do the same thing.

When you look closely at it though, the Fisker is a really, really odd design in many ways and nothing like the elegance in engineering design of a Tesla, with the hybrid design causing a lot of sacrifices. (Like the massive battery column down the middle of the car vs the flat underfloor batteries and empty front "engine bay" of the Tesla) Not a practical car in any shape or form and it makes the C6 look positively practical as a daily driver. ;)

Call me odd (a lot of people do!) But I quite like the Fisker. What I don't like is the imitation brick wall down the middle.
