.......more work from Andy Saunders this time a Pontiac Camper from 1936

and a self-propelled one...the Cramper Van.
It is a well and truly stretched 1960 Butllins bicycle and a well and truly shortened and narrowed Autohome Bambi. It is a fully working camper with light, heating, water hob and loo.

From a bit of perusing of Classics in Cyprus Dunstable's finest looks like it could form the basis of a nice roomy camper!

Oh gosh :D I remember those so well when they were in everyday service and a very common sight. There were literally thousands all over the Island. each village (even the tiniest) had at least one to run their bus services into the nearest large town...

The 'T' prefix on the number plate designated it as a taxi even though it's a bus... I guess it meant generally a Public Service Vehicle...

Happy memories. Thanks so much for posting it Neil :D

from https://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/201 ... amper-van/

For an American Camper Van, this is really quite nice in my opinion, and has that a quirky sort of look which I like.

Could have gone in I spy Classics but it was a Camper Van, if a very small camper van, spotted on the M62 today in very uncamping type weather.

Saw it from the back first....wonder what that is...and it has "Bedford" emblazoned on its front.

Had to be a Rascal...

Or it could have been a Bambi!

Nice to keep an old thread going

French, looks good on the pictures, not that difficult to get to Edinburgh just off city centre West end, 67,000 and "drives like new". Citroen C15D Champ, 1769cc (XUD7 engine?) from DVLA'ing the reg no.
