That's nice Dave :D Looks like you have a veritable furnace going there and on a day like today...

Just what I'd like to be greeted by when I arrive home from work on my bike on cold days...

Love the carpet 8-) I have an orange version in my hall/stairs and landing...

What are you burning in the stove? I would guess Anthracite...

A bit like DPF Regeneration then ;)

Does it burn as brightly as the photo suggests?

..and the brickwork fireplace is very much like mine although our woodburner is just decorative now, a century and a half of nesting jackdaws, and masonry of a similar vintage means that a decent professional and expensive lining job would be required to bring it back into use.

We use flue-cleaning 'logs' too, on our 13kW log burner, pretty much a standard rural fitting here. It has a couple of fans built in, and also delivers hot air to an upstairs bedroom. We burn old olive tree root, mainly, and get through about 4 cu.metres over a winter, along with a few old pallets. Cleaning log does a great job, leaving fire insides and flue really soot-free.

Carpets are almost unknown here :? . . .

If some of their cars are a bit out of reach, you can always buy some of their roof tiles :-D

That gentleman is Elon Musk, Tesla CEO, and he is attempting to make a significant acquistion, and make an investent in these.

They are...glass roof tiles that include solar cells.

Last week, on the set of Desperate Housewives, SolarCity and Tesla announced the development of solar roofs, or fully functional roofs that are also happy to generate solar power.

The story in a visual nutshell is here
