Hello.
I am planning on replacing all my Activa V6's hydraulic pipes, both the regular ones and the Activa ones. I am quite aware of the work that requires, but have arranged for a workshop with a lift and a decent amount of time for this project.
However, while obtaining and replacing the regular pipes is relatively* straightforward, I am not at all certain about the Activa parts. I've been told that those pipes are bigger than the regular pipes, so where does one obtain these pipes? When I usually look for Xantia pipes, it's usually only without the Activa pipes, and I haven't actually seen Activa pipes for sale.
Any tips, both on obtaining the pipes, but also on the procedure of replacing the pipes.
* I probably need quotations around this remark.

Re: Replacing the hydraulic pipes
It's certainly a good idea to replace the 3.5 and 4.5mm pipes...
The Activa Ram pipes are big, the same size as the Hydractive Suspension pipes going to the rear cylinders...
They are not only big but quite thick and heavy so they may just be best cleaned up and re-proofed against further corrosion.
I've not heard of one 'letting go' but the similar thickness and size steel pipes that are used between the rubber sections of the front Hydractive pipes to the strut tops have been known to corrode through...
The other problem with replacing the Activa pipes will be the difficulty of forming flares in the pipe ends.
If you find yours are badly corroded it might be a plan to replace the plain sections and braze the old flared ends to the new pipe thus saving the problem of how to flare the new pipes...
I've brazed 6mm hydraulic pipes such as those between the pump and pressure regulator with complete success in the past...

Re: Replacing the hydraulic pipes
Thank you for the advice(s). We'll see if the pipes can be saved rather than replace them. I just wanted to avoid a situation where I get stuck with a project on a lift waiting for a spare part.

Re: Replacing the hydraulic pipes
What size are the activa pipes then, anyone know? Are those the larger 6mm pipe?

Re: Replacing the hydraulic pipes
I see this is an old post, but thought id bring it up as i am about to overhaul the hydraulics on my activa. the car is currently sitting warm and dry inside the garage at a vocational school where my uncle works as a
teacher. him being an old citroen mechanic has its perks
if i supply parts he and his students will work on the car - did i say perk =?
my question is. where is the best place to source parts for the car ?
ordinary carparts I usually buy from autodoc in germany. even with shipping and added taxes its way below what i have to pay here in Norway.
but activa parts and hydraulics - that is something i wonder where i can source. I tried https://www.franzose.de/de/Home/ as they have lots for other french cars but my limited skills did not find much i could use unless i were to buy lines and the flaring tool.
does anyone make custom lines i can order ? is there somewhere that supplies lines. ? i seem to remember a site where they sold complete hydraulic lines for activa , anyone know if i dreamt this =?
I might have asked this in the past - but the car has been sitting for more than 2 years without me having thought about it, so everything i might have found out has since poofed out of my mind :p

Re: Replacing the hydraulic pipes
Try http://www.autofrance.dk
He fabricates hydraulic lines in 3,5 4,5 6,35 and 10mm. 10mm being the thickness of hydractive and activa systems. He can also provide you a flaring tool.
