PROPER contact cleaner (ideally Servisol) is the ONLY thing to use on electrical contacts! It is designed to clean AND lubricate contacts, in such a way that it does not attract grot. NASA use it in their equipment (including space going), and it works. Mind you, the best stuff neat is a little bit pricey (astronomically so).

James, absolutely... Servisol or Electrolube is just the stuff...

It's available from most branches of Maplin Electronics if needed fairly quickly but is always easily obtained from the usual on-line sources...

Off to do a delivery of radiators (little ones) to a cottage in the New Forrest, I will use the Activa today as I will be dropping my Mother off @ my cousins .....she is 85 years now and she prefers being taken out in the Activa over the C5x7........got to love this car :)

I had to rip the front bumper off the C5 yesterday, a nice bit of Super-Market Parking Rash !....all the trim had popped off the front bumper due to what looks like a tow bar being forced into it..., partial repair done, buggers !

I will have to strip it off again later to complete the job as some of the trim clips are broken....some SIKAFLEX will fix it and allow perfect re-seating.

Put blocks under the subframes and drop the suspension to low to save the tyres and spheres

Was going to ask about depressurising the suspension....should I ? ........... I have 4 stands I could use but was wondering about the wheels hanging.

You can leave the wheels sitting on the ground, at more or less normal height.

The life of he spheres should be extended by the duration the system is depressurized.
