Hi all, I am looking for a replacement part from the Xantia manual height rod mechanism. It's the little plate at the end of the rod that hoks into the spring forks at either the front or rear height corrector units. You can see the parts arrowed in this old thread if you scroll down.

Re: Small Xantia suspension part sought
For certain items Citroen surprisingly do still stock them and at a tolerable price. I believe the nylon dog bone links are still available too. Getting or making a third party replacement of those wouldn't be easy.

It never fails to amaze me as to what’s still available and what's not... For good and for bad...
If dogbones ever go NFP then it's going to be a bit tricky unless someone can print them on a 3D printer.. Stock up now!

Re: Small Xantia suspension part sought
I'm not sure that a 3D printed dog bone would be strong enough Jim ? Those dogbones are under tremendous strain for their size, and the fit of the cup onto the ball is pretty critical so that they don't pop off. I''m not sure that the typical 3D printings are as strong as conventionally moulded nylon ?
I fitted a new one to the rear of my Xantia when I swapped the height corrector and I think I still have one new one left to go on the front one day, but I couldn't tell you where it currently is...

Re: Small Xantia suspension part sought
Yes, I agree Simon, it would need to be very well-made with adequate strength and I expect that's beyond the abilities of the average hobbyist printer but maybe some more professional ones perhaps?
It's not an area I'm too clued up on to be honest but it would be good to know if it might be possible...
Anyone?

Re: Small Xantia suspension part sought
You could have a small batch remade with 3d printer in aluminium (or nylon) but the desktop 3d priters wouldn't yeild strong enough parts like you say. I always wondered about replacing the dog bone with an adjustable socket end and threaded middle connecting rod much like the type used for gear selector rods from performance aftermarket suppliers. I am certain there are types like this available and I thought they would be ideal to fine tune the ride height since the rod part was adjustable.
Anyway, I ordered the above part up and it's not exactly bank-breaking..
