So ... the rear sticker is half height comared to the tax disc?

Just doesnt come across that way from those two that you posted up, it looks more boxy and the same height as the tax disc ie 8.5

If it's long and half height that'll be fine with me although 12cm is a tad short don't you think?

Around the 20cm is what i would plan for, 7-8", if not slightly longer and increase the height relatively to make it look in proportion.

According to Wikipedia the UK tax Disc was 75mm in diameter;

I just resized it for viewing, but we do need a definitive size for the rear sticker.

@James, thanks, I saw that too and then elsewhere saw them as 8.5, so it would be ideal if we could just check physical size. It may be that these stickers have a predefined size though, which may be slightly larger. I'll try and check these out tomorrow.

Re: Tax disc size.
I've just measured one, 75mm diameter.
For info, a windscreen sleeve for it to fit in was 80mm dia.

Clingy has the vote then...

I'd like to see the same look between both circular and rectangular...

Marc, looking forward to seeing how they look on the car...

First is the swatch showing the 2 rectangles. So the sizes for the Rectangle Stickers I set to 25cm x 5 cm (9.8" x 1.96").
Regarding the rectangle, I spaced the 4 logos out to be same height top and bottom, but horizontally, if these were spaced exactly equidistant, the Citroen and DS logos would merge into the blue and red areas of the flag colours and looked a bit odd - so I've used the spacing below to keep them in the white areas. The only difference is that I have increased the FCF text on the second one to enhance the Forum name - as splitting the "www" & ".co.uk" did not work well with the sizes - it left everything in the middle and looked unbalanced. I tried stretching the text, but it looked too 'elasticated'.

Image

How these looked on the cars
Ok, I printed out 3 paper 'stickers' on the laser and bear in mind this was not on glossy or laser-specific paper, just plain white A4 - so the colours were slightly darker once printed - but this is just to give you a feel of how they might look on your car.

On the C3 - Inserted in a 'clingy' holder - at a distance & close up
Image Image

On the C5 just on the glass at a distance & close up
Image Image

Rear Window Sticker C3 - same Font size
Image

Rear Window Sticker C5 - Enlarged Font version

Finally, a Pic of one on the rear Passenger doors

You'll have to excuse my 'cutting out' with the scissors!

I do think that the 'stroke' or black edging that emphasises the text should be a little darker to enhance the text - as you can see in the bright light it is harder to make out against the white of the flag - so will redo another one just to see....

They both look superb to me, well done!!

As for the rear sticker, I prefer the 'same font size' that is the one on the C3 over the C5. Text on that one, although it stands out, just doesn't reasd as well as the all-in-one font.
I definitely won't be putting a 'rear' sticker on the doors. Just too big. What's needed there is a similar layout just resized accordingly, ie just a 2-3" long by 1.5" high roughly about a third of the length and two thirds of the height i'd think of the rear sticker. Similar in size to the to the existing (not on mine anymore) door stickers.

My exact comments... Very happy with those Marc :D

As soon as we have a consensus I'll get the quotes in for clingy versions of both...

I'd like to get that in train early next week please ;)

Thanks!

Both stickers look great. I would be proud to put them on all four cars. I agree with the quote - same font size throughout.

Both look superb!
Hard to decide as they are both good but perhaps the top one.

The 'tax disc' one is great too.

Almost a shame I only have one car.

Marc,

A great job. So many thanks!
'Same font size' for me, too, and clingy.

We now know what you need for Crimbo: scalpel, ruler and cutting mat. I have all of those, and have had the odd sliced fingertip to prove it, after years of real cut-and-paste from the 70s and 80s! Remember Copyproof? I also used to have a couple of those t-shirts from Colyer & Southey, who made a rival to Tipp-Ex fluid. The t-shirt read Cover Your Boobs with Snopake.

Definitely agree with that, and maybe a little darkening around the edges of the Citroen and DS logos to make them stand out - not a lot needed, just a little to help define them against the white background. Don't forget these stickers may fade sooner than we'd like, so anything that helps to keep the logos and text defined over the next few years of blazing summer sunshine :rofl2: will help.

:rofl2:

Or maybe 'Cover your Moobs with Snopake' - As I heard yesterday it's one of the 'new' words that's been added to the Oxford Dictionary along with 'Oompaloompa' and gawd knows what else!

Thanks to all for the really helpful comments and to Sticky for all his input and helping me to find the 'stroke' :-D

I'll do one final one in a minute to show the enhanced outline, print it off and an extra car pic to see if makes the difference, then i think we're almost done!
