Now, a piece of advice I've received from Russ is that once the preferred designs are chosen we need to print them and offer them up to car screens and see how they look in what will be their natural habitat...

He tells me some that can look good on a screen can look all wring once in a windscreen or rear window...

I've just come in from clearing out the sheds - I don't seem to be getting all the notifications through on this thread - so have missed a few!

I've been a little reluctant to comment so as not to be seen to be biased in any way. I'll go with the majority - but glad we're possibly bringing things to a conclusion now. I do agree with Chris - with all due respect to Russ (I don't really know his work), I did find those three rectangular designs very hard to read if I'm honest. Regarding the type of sticker, personally, I would prefer the 'non-permanent' type that just 'cling' to the windscreen.

Jim / V6 - can you please clarify that if you did want K4, whether the rest of the dots should be added (after the WWW and before the CO.UK)? - or as it is please..

Please let me know what you would like doing - Sticky can either send me his or I can send him my K4 design for a side by side view with Sticky's rectangular one....

Thanks for all the comments - it's been a blast!

Personally K4 as-is (without the dots, not needed as the web address is no longer contiguous) with a rear sticker as a 'matching' set in every way would do for me. And to answer another question .. self cling not adhesive for me but guessing that others may differ [emoji3]. Maybe able to offer a choice?

Marc, for me the URL should always contain the dots... Mike V6 may have an opinion too and he's far more savvy in this area than I...

For me, URLS are always wwwdotsomethingdotwhatever... Without the dots it just doesn't seem quite right but as I stress, that's just my view.

It certainly has been a blast but keen to bring it to a conclusion...

Thanks ever so for all your hard work on this

A wide choice would be lovely but the problem with offering too much choice comes down to costs Mike. We are OK but we're not Rockerfellers so have to still watch the pennies...

And the risk of having a lot of stock that's not popular and nobody wants...

Did somebody knock?

seeing that you asked, I prefer with the dots...

Perhaps I prefer clingy over sticky, if they don't stay on, we can sell everyone another set of sticky ones next year. :rofl2:

I can live with the extra dots, if everyone prefers.
Clingy for me, too.
Will be interesting to see ideas for the rectangular one.

I've come to this very late but, while I like the idea I do wonder if using the current manufacturers' logos give the impression it's for moderns.

Thing is, we're for all models on here and not just the old stuff...

I think dots and clingy has it!

Definitely agree with that !
It struck me that the Tricolore (on the tax disc stickers) might be a bit overpowering when put in a windscreen - you'd notice the eye-catching colours straight away, but not necessarily bother reading the text. It might be just a case of toning down the colours a gnats when we (Jim) get to testing the samples. I wonder how many different samples we could get away with :) Can't wait to see them printed up :-D
Sadly no longer a C5 owner :(
