Does anyone know if there is a Water pump repair kit for a Water Pump, on a XM V6 12valve, 1991 (ish).
Does it have a water pimp,[:)]... as I cannot find it in GSF or anyone else's listings.
Will it be a Dealer purchase..
Also has anyone else changed one on this engine??[?][?]
Any help greatly appriciated... Thankyou
Ta, muchly

That would be a pretty standard water pump - cambelt driven as found on other PSA engine types.
Give GSF a call, be sure to have exact engine/model details handy to get the correct part/stock no.
The replacement job is almost exactly the same process as replacing the cambelt. If any doubt on condition - be sure to replace the cambelt and idler/tensioner wheel(s) while you're there anyway.
A very cheap insurance against premature engine crash.

Hi Anders,
I thought these units (V6) were chain driven, not belt??
Thanks for advice

Well I am sure it has a water pump. Follow the bottom hose from the radiator. Should lead to it.
The following site lists a pump for the V6:

I had the same car, which I bought from a Volvo specialist (it's the same PRV engine), his parting shot was "Don't bring it back here if the water pump needs doing".
Fortunately, it didn't need doing, but a google for "PRV engine water pump" should give you enough information to scare yourself. I seem to remember that the manifolds have to come off, and they don't!
