It has a Quartic steering wheel. Did the Austin Allegro teach us nothing?

I've only just seen the link to the other photos in the article Paul - I think the interior looks horrible:
  • Like a peice of foam covered plywood folded over like a banana roly poly.
  • That steering wheel will not work for most (but then again, it's probably just for show - you probably won't end up steering it yourself anyway)
  • Why would you want a widescreen TV covering the dash showing me the same thing that's on the road ahead - I know - it's so you can watch some TV or browse the web, as you won't actually be doing any driving yourself (they'll probably make it legal to view in the car as you won't actually be controlling anything).
  • At least they left the brake pedal in there - but that's probably just to let you think you have any control over the car

    Image
  • With tyres nearly the size of the passenger, don't expect much change out of £500 per corner with these babies
  • You'll probably end up slipping a disc trying to get in and out of that thing

    Image
  • As they've saved a few quid on carpets, by lining the flloor with all the rubber from the unsold Citroen Cactus, they can now flood the passenger compartment with water to 'cocoon' and isolate the passengers from outside noise - those chairs are actually floatation devices.

Let's hope André Lefebvre is reincarnated soon, that's all I can say.

Another typical Citroen concept car that will never see the light of day looking anything like that. Citroen must have a big storage area somewhere with hundreds of these things in.

Whatever happened to the Metropolis? What a stunning car. Next year they'll have another concept. The only thing of interest are the somewhat vague comments about the suspension.

Here's a video of it with a bit more detail - but I still think the inside has the detail of a die cast 1970s dinky toy!
