CitroJim's Charity Bike Ride For Our Local Hospice
On August Bank Holiday I'll be riding my bike on a 40 mile sportive in support of our local hospice...
I'm just hoping it'll be warm and dry on the day but being a Bank Holiday I may be hoping for too much!
Even if it's cold and wet I'll still be doing it
It'll give the old lycra a lovely outing
More details of the event is here: Ride For Willen 2016
I will be eternally grateful for any sponsorship via my JustGiving page.
A map of the route I'll be riding is here.
A lot of the route I know intimately as I often ride it...
Many, many thanks in anticipation...

I've donated a tenner, but you can have another fiver if you promise not to have any visible Lycra showing during the whole bike rideCitroJim wrote: Even if it's cold and wet I'll still be doing it

This is exactly what I'll be looking like on the day except I'll be wearing my helmet...
Bobins, seriously, many, many thanks for the donation. It is very much appreciated and with gift aid on top it's added £2.50 to it
Excellent!

I couldn't do gift aid as I'm not a tax payer. I'll double it to 20 for no lycra [emoji12] [emoji23]

If that's what you're wearing, perhaps I should cheer you on with this:
We acquired that on the TdF a good few years ago - the year Wiggins won !!

That's a shame Davie Trouble is, I can't ride in anything else... It's lycra or nothingdaviemck2006 wrote:I couldn't do gift aid as I'm not a tax payer. I'll double it to 20 for no lycra [emoji12] [emoji23]
And I can't do that as it's not a naked bike ride

Re: CitroJim's Charity Bike Ride For Our Local Hospice
This ride happens this Monday Looking forward to it...
Still lots of time to sponsor me for this very worthy cause...
I have rode the route a few times now and will be looking to achieve a good time... Best in practice has been 2 hours and 17 minutes for the 40 miles...
We will be chip timed on this ride...
A great tank you to all of you who have already sponsored me and thanks too to those who are about to

I'm sponsoring you £10 Jim. Got to do it the old fashioned way though, it's either coming by post or bank transfer so not on your just giving page.

Re: CitroJim's Charity Bike Ride For Our Local Hospice
Good luck with it tomorrow, Jim, and I hope the weather is favourable
If anyone is thinking of donating who hasn't yet, just a couple of quid would be good - just think of it as a little bit of pay-back for using the forum
