Lexia -2- C2
As my Lexia will not talk to a Berlingo, do you think it will talk to a C2 ?

Re: Lexia -2- C2
What is the age difference between the two vehicles? You are aware that some of the PSA commercial vehicles need an extra diagnostics device to read them? I don't know if that is the case for PSA Commercial to Passenger conversions.
EDIT; It looks like the Berlingo does NOT need the addon reader, but here it is;

Re: Lexia -2- C2
Shouldn't be a problem at all if your setup will talk to your X7 - the C2 ended production in 2010.

Yes, I've read lots of issues with berlingos - wasn't the smallest of the 2008-on revised models named the nemo and developed with FIAT? - could be something to do with it...

Re: Lexia -2- C2
ahh....that would be the reason. Was the C2 a Non-PSA car as well ?

Re: Lexia -2- C2
The C2 was a purely PSA car AFAIK, and went fully CAN BUS from 2006 models on.

Re: Lexia -2- C2
I have a thought at the back of my mind, may be well wrong, that the 'Lingo needed a special adaptor between the Lexia and the diagnostic socket to modify the wring a little..
The reason is that my old Lexia 2 had such and adaptor and when I looked into it that was allegedly its role in life...

Re: Lexia -2- C2
Could be Jim, as James mentioned above, there is an adapter for the Nemo and a few of the other commercial / crossover vehicles that needs this adapter.

Re: Lexia -2- C2
I've used my Lexia on a Berlingo before to read/clear codes and I know Trainman has enabled cruise control on a Berlingo using his as well. From memory this one was a 2009 1.6 HDi.

Re: Lexia -2- C2
Lexia 2's require a full CAN adaptor for full CAN vehicles to fully talk to all the ECU's. Strange that your X7 works with Lexia 2, does it read all the ECU's ?? C2's & C3's went full CAN around late 05/early06.
The other adaptor (the one with the little switch on it) is for certain ECU's on some Fiat based citroens. Lexia 2 will prompt you if this is needed.

Re: Lexia -2- C2
My Lexia talks to all ECU's bar two on our X7.
It says "no communication" when trying to talk to the directional headlights and says "unrecognised ECU" when talking to the telematics.
Talks fine to our 2009 C3 VTR though.

Are you talking about a Lexia 2 or Lexia 3 though ?DHallworth wrote:My Lexia talks to all ECU's bar two on our X7.

Lexia 3 shouldn't need any a additional adaptors. It's the older Lexia 2's that need extra bits to make them talk to newer models.
