Hi all been trying to get my aircon working, without joy on my 2008 308 1.6 hdi.
Put on a brand new condenser, slow speed cooling fan resistor and had it regassed.
When the ac button is pressed you can hear the compressor kick in but the cooling fan won't spin so the ecu turns it back off.
Been in pp2000 and when testing the fan it works on fast speed but again nothing on slow.
Is there any relays to try before I try changing the cooling fan itself?

Re: 308 Slow speed cooling fan not work?
For a single fan installation, there are normally two relays between the ECU and the fan.
One relay switches the fan on to Slow speed (via the resistor); second relay, when energised, shorts out (bypasses) the resistor, making the fan run at High speed.
The relays often suffer from weathering and external contact corrosion. Possible contact dirt internally, too.
IIRC they are standard automotive 12v 30A/40A, with one set of changeover contacts, and standard contact numbering, obtainable anywhere.

Re: 308 Slow speed cooling fan not work?
Thanks for the reply mate.
I noticed on some other models ( 206, 307) that there is 2 green relays behind the front bumper but there is none on the 308.
I can only see one green one which is inside the engine bay fuse box just infront of the ecu.
Don't suppose you know where the other one is located by any chance do you?

Hopefully someone with knowledge of the 308 will be able to help with exact relay location.

If you put the last 8 of your VIN, I can check servicebox for the set up.
On my 307, there are the 2 relays as you described. But, on a facelift 307SW, there's a relay and resistor set up. It's always worth checking SB as Peugeot do like to keep people guessing

Thanks Jimmy. The last 8 digits are 55088478
Think I'm swaying towards a dead compressor to be honest, as I've since bought another slow speed resistor from peugeot at a cost of £56 plus a new pressure sensor with no avail.
When I turn the aircon on the clutch kicks in and it carries on spinning but there's just nothing cold. That's all that's left to really change?
