Lexia near Doncaster

Unread post by renagade »

Good morning all you Dad,s on this father,s day.
Does anyone near Doncaster have a lexia that they would be willing to connect to my c5 x7 and activate my DRL,s. I would be most grateful. I am in the process of getting a Lexia for myself but am having to save up my pension before I can afford one.

If you peruse this list and map to locate a suitable candidate then take contact with them by PM I'm sure your father's day will be enhanced :)

It does look like SteelCityUK is your closest member.

Hi,
Well got the lexia loaded to my laptop and went outside and connected it to my c5 x7. I am not able to turn on the DRL's with it as hard as I try and that has pissed me off because that was the main reason for getting the Lexia.
Yes it does talk to the car and does all the test's and gladly all come back clear no faults.
I wish someone would come along and tell me why I am unable to turn my DRL's on. Any One????????
Thanks for reading

Does the 2009 pre-facelift model have DRLs?

my 09 X7 had them but was able to access originally through the steering wheel menu, IF it has them you can see the bulb in the middle of the strip below main lamps
i played with lexia one day and turned them off on the BSi and was never able to return the setting to the menu but could turn on and off via Diagbox later on?
from memory it is in the customer options area?
currently '06 C5 2.0 HDi auto estate Tip run and France trekker - well should be!! occupied currently by '10 Superb DSG 170 elegance- whistles and bells that work

hi and thanks for reading.
Yes I can see the bulbs but nothing on the car for turning them on. I will have to get it out again and see if I can find the area where the customer options are.

From wayyy back...... :)

"For those with a C5 III (X7) without the Daytime Running Lights option on their instrument panel...........
I've just had a quick session with my Diagbox and enabled the Daytime Running Lights via: BSI --> Repair --> Configuration --> Manual Configuration --> Customisation Customer. This has now put the DRL option onto the instrument panel and they work successfully. There are two options in the BSI for them: DRL on their own, or DRL plus sidelights.
Cheers,
Robin"

Here is the link to the BSi reset;

Make sure to follow it properly, otherwise it may not help.

Now you've got one, wouldn't you want to keep if for fault finding / fixing / clearing and other maintenance? If not 'Delivery Driver' is looking for one:

Is it just Lexia you have or is it Diagbox? I'm interested in upgrading from my Lexia to suit my latest car as I don't believe that it is new enough to understand all the latest stuff.
