Headlights got water in I believe a common fault with the C3?
Where is it likely to be leaking in from and how to remove the light? I read somewhere the bumper needs to be released partly and the grill removed if so which bolts need removing and where are they situated?

Bill, you aint going to like this........but according to the citroen repair guide you take the headlight off by undoing 3 bolts, however, to get to those bolts you ave to remove the inner wheel arches, grille and the bumper!!

We have the remains of some bug inside at the bottom of one of our C3 headlights, and there it will stay until it fossilises or barbecues!

To shift internal condensation/moisture:
Similar treatment to getting the bug out.
Remove bulb, and use a tube to wet-vac any appreciable amount of water.
To clear condensation, blow in air (warm is good, from a vac cleaner) until it clears, and then some.
Some moulded headlights have a venting cap on the back side. Leave this off, if it helps, to ensure headlight venting. Heat from the bulb will aid drying out.

Hi guys
OK thanks to the links I managed to remove the Headlight unit to discover the seal was split and the retainer spring for the cover was not seated correctly.
I have repaired and replaced the seal and am now in the process off drying out the unit.
I discovered when removing the headlight that it can be removed without removing the bumper although fiddly when I replace the headlight I will show how it can be removed If in fact my observations and thoughts are correct???? If not I will hold my hands up and say remove the bumper
It still involves removing the plastic mud guard and the grill and as the bumper is only one or two extra bolts it may be easier to do them too If others wish to see how to remove the light without the bumper then that video will be for you.

OK didnt manage to get any video as I was dodging the rain should you wish to remove the head light. Yes it can be done without removing the bumper but it is quite fiddly and maybe best releasing the bumper.
If interested though. Once you have moved the mud cover from the wheel arch you can get a 10mm socket onto the bolt retaining the light and where you have removed the grill if you move the plastic that can be seen you can get a 10mm ratchet spanner into the gap and onto the bolt screw head obviously the top bolt is easy to remove. Once removed the light can be manipulated out.
Sorry I didn't get the video this time but should I need to remove the headlight again I will set up the camera.
