Checked her out yesterday. Got under the front this morning and gave the suspension area a good wipe down, although there didn't seem to be any dampness or misting. The electric parking brake was worrying me as it tended to sometimes take a few revs to get it to release on driving away but it was perfect according to the tester. Emissions spot on and although I had "adjusted" the high beam in wintertime, it was within spec.

Any advisories last year? And did you do anything about them?

They're all recorded online now. The only unaddressed or recorded advisory on the car is a minor (repaired now), windscreen chip behind the rear-view mirror.

True but I would have to know your reg to find out. No, what I was getting at was if an advisory wasn't picked up this year from last year but without doing anything. It has been known...

Nobody ever looks at old advisories (except savvy potential purchasers).

Whether an unattended advisory appears the next year depends on the tester, indeed it's possible for advisories that were on a fail not to appear on the pass issued on re-test.

Happened to me, picked up on brake hoses, I have them to hand just only found the time to do them now. nothing on this years MOT despite them still being unfitted. the car itself was cleaner and better presented though :rofl2:

Old advisories are, as said, useful for buyers as you can see wether it's been cared for
