Heard it long before I saw it, straight six from that era is quite a distinctive noise!
If we assume it would most likely be british, the most likely candidates would perhaps be the Jaguar XK6 engine planted into something.

Always fancied the idea of the MGBGTV8, although the reality was less good, I read more than once.
Although ostensibly the same engine as the P6B, it was in fact detuned, and had even more strangling cast exhaust manifolds fitted than the P6B non-S, to get it to fit between the inner wings. Nice concept, and looked lovely.

Ay up, Newcastle Falcon!!!

It was exactly the same colour as the lower of the two DS in your pic. Even Otterchops liked that one and she is a jealous girl.....

Saw an NG TC today, it's a kit car with a Rover V8 squeezed in.

That's not the Shell garage at the bottom end of Betws-Y-Coed near the bridge is it James? looks a little bit familiar from our hols!...and a little "racing car" lotus seven esq did pull in when we were filling up as well.

Even if its not, iron bridges still carrying traffic are pretty rare in the UK so its an excuse to post up a nice iron bridge pic anyway!

It is indeed. Llandudno and Betws Y Coed are Classic Car hotspots, especially in this weather. My best spot on the Shell forecourt was an Aston Martin DB 2 4, a car pictures don't do justice. You can see the beginnings of the later cars (DB4,5&6) shapes pencilled into its bodywork.

I am so pleased that it is....looks like at the moment I've still got it! Photographic memory or what! Did enjoy our visit to North Wales.

Yesterday afternoon I spotted a gold Y plate Triumph Acclaim turning into Bradwell Common in MK. Looked tidy to - aside from the fact that it had been lowered to within an inch of its life. Can't remember for certain if I've seen that one around before.

This yesterday in Twyford, a genuine 1967 with a big block V8. It sounds *amazing*. I saw it a week or so ago at the lights while I was on foot with my 6 year old son who declared it awesome. The driver duly obliged by giving it some loud pedal for him and laying a bit of rubber.

My dad had one of these for over 10 years. Spotted this mint one yesterday too!

There's something interestingly awful about the interior of a Triumph Acclaim :!: :) Lokks like its mostly constructed with Caramac!

...and my "on the hoof" spot today, what would be the bog standard of the Rover P6, the Rover 2000 SC 1971. Described by the DVLA as "brown".......but I know Tobacco Leaf when I see it, and it is one of my favourite "browns".
