No need Alasdair. I'm either in Newport Pagnell, Langport or Burham on Sea, at work or travelling between those locations...

I don’t generally go anywhere else unless there's a very good reason to...

Will be going to France in June though...

Excellent! Well done as I know throttle cables are not the easiest things to replace...

Hoping the rear brakes are as easy. Heard horror stories about them. As you may recall when it last went in for mot the calipers were rebuilt. So hopefully it will be a straight forward job, the front one's are pretty straight forward. Just the winding back of the calipers that takes time without a wind back tool. Bought some copper nickel alloy for replacement of the brake hoses as they are corroded. That should hopefully be done before we go away to Skegness. Then it will be time to get the spheres all replaced. And hopefully then see about the Activa shuffle getting done as that has appeared recently as well.

So any ideas where to go from here. Getting desperate now. This was found when setting about to do fuel tank. This is now on delay as don't want to rupture any of these. Where can i get replacement parts cheaper the better.

To be honest if they are solid metal pipes you've had it.
You could try a local hose specialist like pirtek and then clip flexible hose to the body. Ideally id go with stainless braided hoses to replace the fuel.

For the hydro pipes best getting the exact length and speaking to Plaides about some length being made up and sent up to you :)

Or sell it to me :D

I too was thinking plaides or some hydraulic specialists. As for selling that's a no go. Probably going to take the pipes off the silver Activa and get two lots of pipes made up.

Okay can find plenty of online places to get the 3.5mm and 4.5mm pipes but struggling to find the larger diameter pipes which are the worst. Help, anybody know what the exact size of these and where I can get some from.

Have you tried Pirtek for the larger pipes? Failing that, I'd be tempted to find the nearest size and then make up new runs using the good ends of the original pipes brazed onto the new runs...

I've done that in the past and it is OK.

Ay up, Holmedog!

Are you in Wakefield?

If so then you're not far from APT in Leeds. 0-1-1-3-2-3-1-1-1-6-0. If anyone can get the bits, he will. Reasonable fitting rates to boot!
