Just to report that the pump was picked up yesterday and will be on its way to Spain soon. Hope that it helps you even if only to give another option for investigating how to repair one.

Hi guys completely new to this but may have solved your citroen c5 hpi problems. After moving to france needed a cheap run around so got myself a citroen c5 2001 hpi not knowing the problems with the high pressure fuel pump....and so it went after searching high and low scrap yard in the UK and france used cars in Germany and Spain i found a used pump. A photo was sent of the part ahowing a sticker for evolution autos on the pump. The guy in germany said he had his pump rebuilt. So i called the company my self a guy called steve cranswick who rebuilds the pumps was unbelievably helpful he said 2 days repair and £85 later including postage the repaired part is on its way back with a 3 month guarantee. I can tell you used are nearly impossible to find and new ones were stopped being made a while back!

There is an additive for 10% petrol that reduces the corrosion risk.

There is a guy on eBay that fixes these pumps he also buys old broken pumps to refit them for a new derive life.
The pumps come with a 6month warranty and at £70 a go it's worth a shot.
These pumps are not fitted with new parts they are fitted with used parts that are closely inspected before use.
I have one fitted on my c5 it's not been an issue and it's well over 9months old and has done a few mile now.
Just thought I would post this here as these pumps are now discontinued and you can no longer buy a new pump for the C5 hpi.

I might be able to help as I'm sure I've still got one of these pumps, new, boxed. If not, I can get the parts to overhaul it as I have done a few in the past. As far as I'm aware, all the cars I've done are still running!
Send me a PM with your VIN, so I can check its the right part either with Citroen Service or PSA direct.

Just in case anyone is still searching, Peugeot confirm that the correct part no for the 406 version of this engine is indeed 1920AR. You will also need Part No 1920AS , which is a spacer, to go with it. And before you ask, No, I don't know where to get one - I wish I did.
