Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
How are you getting to the point where it asks for this info? What menu were you in?
Regarding the Directional lights - if they were unplugged surely you wouldn't have any lights at all? - Or do you mean that they are lighting up, but the directional function is not working? If this is the case you shouldn't need the Lexia - the directional lighting can be enabled or disabled from one of the internal menus of the car - ususally going to the setup options and turning the function on or off from there.
This code screen is supplying your Diagbox customer registration info and a unique code that once entered into a Key Generator by the Technician, would generate a code back that you would input. I've not seen this dialogue box before - I assume you're using the Lexia interface - but AFAIK you shouldn't need to do anything here to run the tests and change the configuration.

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
The Headlights work but the directional part comes up as faulty. Someone told me they needed to be re enabled from Lexia. I had already disabled them from the cars menu to prevent the error message.
How I got to the point where this info is asked for as far as I can remember;
On the Citroen
Open Diagbox with car plugged in choose Citroen then C4. Car VIN is found then Choose Lexia from 3 options I think. Choose Diagnosis from lots of options. Lexia communicated with the car checking each ECU and stating fault in some including headlights. When checking had finished I clicked on directional headlamps where there was a screen with options to change settings, I can't remember exactly what, but when I tried to enter that I got the screen asking for the code.
On the Pug 207
Open Diagbox choose Peugeot then 207. Car VIN is found choose Peugeot Planet from 4 options. Choose Accessories then CD player, set up CD player and then the screen asking for code.
Obviously it's hard to remember exactly what the order & options are on an unfamiliar program so I could be a bit wrong.

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
Ok, so next question is what version of Diagnox are you using? It could be that you have an earlier model, as I'm not aware of being asked for any codes from
V7 on. I'm also assuming that the BSI shunt is on customer mode and not factory mode? It needs to be in customer mode to perform any customisation, but it should tell you this, so mmm....and as it is also doing the same on the Pug asking for a code, It can't really be that.
Let us know your software version of Diagvox and also follow this thread back a few pages and there should be links to the PSA checker if you need that. Let us know what revision your Lexia unit is along with the Firmware. It could be something that was removed on a later version.

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
Thank you Marc for answering my stupid questions!
It seems the version is V5.02. There ia the option to upgrade to V5.20 and then V5.31.
I haven't upgraded as the first versin says 2009 and the newest car we have (the 207) is 58 reg. I have no idea what firm ware is or how to find out what version I have!

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
They're not stupid questions!, it's no trouble - not even saying we'll be able to sort the issue, - but here's the link to my previous post:
http://www.frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/v ... er#p482940
It has the download link and the instructions to check the version of your Lexia Unit. We may will be able to see what version you can upgrade to.

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
OK
Just to make this a bit more difficult, the Diagbox stuff is installed on an old laptop running XP, when I try to load diagbox without it being connected to the car it always asks for the installation disk to install the driver. (when connected to the car it's fine)
Anyway here is the PSA checker result

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
OK, you have the Revision B unit. Some of these XS devices have been blocked by PSA at any version higher than V5.29. This firmware version is ok to V5.29 too, so you should be good to go to V5.29.
Now according to some people they had coding issues using one of the profiles when installing. The 02ffffff profile in the 5.02 patch should fixx the telecoding issue. It's getting difficult to get hold of these older Diagbox files now - especially as a lot were originally stored on a certain 'Rapid....' file share service that has now shut down back in Feb 2015 with all accounts and files deleted.
If you have the files and install notes to upgrade - you could give it a shot - that may sort your telecoding issue out - but you will likely have to manually activate it again (backup you current APPDIAG.SYS first to the desktop).

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
This is getting a bit out of my depth!
All the patch codes seem to be 1FFFFFFF according to the instructions I've looked at although I also have a disk labeled Lexia V35 Zip files which I haven't looked at yet.
What is the current APPDIAG.SYS and how do I back it up?

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
I know! The 1FFFFFFF profile should of been referred to in the read me or install file, but there was a patch released using the other profile that should solve the telecoding issues.
The APPDIAG.SYS file is your licence file ( I'm using my iPhone as I've shut down my PC for the night so can't paste the location of the file) but tou can search in your C:\APP folder and sub-folders for it. If your system ever gets blocked when online it will alter this file and stop the software working, hence the back up. When you get a successful activation take a backup of this file afterwards so you can always copy it back to restore functionality if it gets blocked.

As you say the 1FFFFFFF profile isreferred to in the read me or install file. I'll have a look for another patch on one of the disks.
The laptop I'm using for this is not connected to the internet.

Thank's

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
They have hyped the description up a bit, saying you can activate features you never knew were there! You can only activate what is already fitted to your vehicle unless you add equipment to the vehicle! They don't mention what revision the unit is and whether it has the full chips and the 10k resistor needed for some cars including the C5.
The picture also shows the older model, so I would be a bit cautious. I can only go from personal experience and that of other members, who have bought in the UK from easydiagnostics, as you will no doubt of read in the thread. They do ship worldwide and their kit is the full chip latest hardware.
Also, as I have mentioned several times, I suggest you ask for Diagbox V7 and upgrade to 7.58, as V7.63 on has removed telecoding features for a lot of cars according to many forums. V7.58 works for all cars to Nov 2015, so will cover your vehicle and is fully functional, but your choice.

Do you think this http://www.easydiagnostics.co.uk/#/shop ... )/10636587
This is version 8.17, if I'm right. Do you think I should still be looking for Diagbox V7 and upgrade to 7:58 ??

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
They have Version 7 Leo and should be able to provide the updates to 7.58 too. Just speak to Sharon and tell her you've been on the French Car Forum and been advised to stick to V7 - they will completely understand as they have been advising the same. Just email [email protected] and explain (probably cheaper than phoning from where you are) what I've said. I think they actually include V7 as part of the installation to V8 - but just ask for them to suppy V7 with any updates they have to 7.58 - and if they don't have them (which they should), I do.
