2002 Citroen Xsara Picasso 1.6 Petrol Misfire

Unread post by RayJamm »

Hi All

I have a Citroen Xsara Picasso 1.6 Petrol (2002). After a long day of driving fine I pulled up to some traffic lights and when I went to pull away the car started to misfire and have no power. I ended up getting recovered home. THe car computer was queried and it said multiple misfires. My first thought was maybe the coil pack had given out or the plugs, I tested the coil pack by removing enough to put plugs in and crank over while watching for sparks this appeared to be ok. Before I go and buy another coil pack I just wondered if the cam belt could have slipped as I don't know the age of it or how to check it's position. If anyone has any clues, I would appreciate it.

New coil pack? How much was then?
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.
