Anyone with a lexia local to us please?

Unread post by ekjdm14 »

Hi all, been a while since I got online but need to ask a big favour of someone who lives local-ish to us in Congleton (Cheshire).

we've posted in the pug forum as well but not had a reply yet so thought we'd be cheeky and ask here too, if there's anyone who wouldn't mind having a fiddle with the BSI on our '02 reg 206 1.4HDi, just needs the headlamps setting changed from single H7 to twin H4 as we've upgraded to the 03-onwards headlamp design.

If anyone could do this for us we'd appreciate it hugely, and the missus said she doesn't mind if I chuck you a bit of beer money if you so wish lol so that is our plea. Thanks in advance for any offers [-o< :)

For the Peugeot, you need Peugeot Planet / PPS, not Lexia ... DiagBox might help with the latest cars, but for your 206 it will definitely require PPS

That software is incorporated into Diagbox, the same as Lexia is VAB. :-D

Not necessarily, there are "Citroen only" installations ... and on the other hand, it is possible to also have a Lexia-only installation as well (no PPS), for the older variants ... that's why I wanted to make it clear, to avoid someone offering a helping hand without the required tools at his/her disposal

You're right, but they would have to be quite old - pre-Diagbox - so better to cover all the bases :)

You would be surprised how much people actually use (and prefer) the old Lexia compared to the DiagBox ... unless they need to work on the X7 (and its generation cars or newer cars), the Lexia is bombproof ... the later versions of it might not be compatible (especially for those using clone PSA XS interfaces)

I agree - I think Diagbox is horrendous as a tool to use - mostly down to the software interface. If a bit of common sense from the user side went into the development it would help. Having things clear from the top in a logical sequence would make finding things so much easier. I must spend three quarters of the time searching for the right option and only as fraction of the time using it!

Your nearest Lexia owner is Robert12.
Try sending him a PM and work it out from there if he has suitable software for you.

Oh cool, thanks. Will shoot him a PM and see if he's got the ability to work on pugs. Cheers :)

Ive got lexia and pp as seperate standalone software programs and do prefer it. I had diagbox and hated it.. It was awful.. The two softwares use the same interface unit.

As for location im a bit further away in north wales..

Dont think ive had an x7 problem with my lexia either.. Ver 3.45 iirc ..
