Self Service / Ramp Rental

Unread post by ACTIVE8 »

Well having tried out one of these in London, and used it several times.

It would appear that there is also a place in the Milton Keynes area.

http://www.liftofframps.com/

I first found about the former when it was featured on 5th Gear.

So for those in the MK area the latter could prove to be a useful place.

That's useful to know about the MK one... Thanks for posting that :D

Sadly it's at the other end of the city to me; down in the automotive quarter...

I could probably offer this sort of thing in Fife, Scotland but would rather be paid in beer and cake than actually trying to make money from it...

Nah, give it to Wheeler Dealers. They'd have it fixed in no time at all and that irritating pillac Brewer would be able to get all the parts you need, in exactly the spec you want, at a knock down price, just at the time you needed them. :^o

I ordered the parts I needed from Russia, they took over a month to come.

Want...

Still regret selling mine (N plate 1.5E), but it just needed more time than I had at the time. Very much on the lookout for an estate (as we could do with an estate given we have a big dog), as I've wanted one since I was about ten. Preferably in white or blue. Saloon best suits red.

Riva Estate is about the only segment of the Lada family I've not sampled yet as well. Had a Samara (not bad but a bit faceless), Niva 1.7i (fantastic motor, but I was commuting 70 odd miles a day to college and couldn't afford 26mpg so sold it in a fit of common sense that I really kick myself for to this day), and a Riva saloon with the usual rust issues - I have no idea how it had an MOT when I got it! I made it maybe 1/2 way through patching it up before I admitted defeat and sold it on.
Current fleet:
07 Volvo V70 SE D5, 85 Sinclair C5, 84 Trabant 601S, 73 AC Model 70, 62 Rover 110.
