Over the next few days I will be reconfiguring the e-mail server and DNS for frenchcarforum.co.uk and bxclub.co.uk.
This work is required to co-host the email servers with the forum servers (following the relocationof the forum servers a few months ago).
There should be no disruption to the forums or web services, but there may be periods when email from the forum (e.g. registration notifications and other notifications) will be delayed or lost.
There may also be periods when emails and form-submissions to the admins will be delayed or lost.
I will update this post when the maintenance is complete.

Re: Maintenance of Forum E-mail Server and DNS
I have completed the reconfiguration of the outgoing mail server.
There is a known issue with gmail.com accounts where gmail is delivering forum messages into the spam folder. This may be due to a temporary error at gmail or it may be because our new mail server has not built a good reputation. If you use gmail and receive forum notifications in your spam folder, please drag them to your inbox, as this may (apparently) train the gmail server to know that they are not spam.
There will be some follow-up work to the forum incoming-mail server, but I will wait a few days before starting this.

Sorry, moved to inbox then deleted - actually they were from the V6 forum so probably not to worry - it may have 'learned' by now.
Have to admit to looking in the spam folders only on February 29th as a rule.

Re: Maintenance of Forum E-mail Server and DNS
I have changed the outgoing email configuration again, in order to work around the gmail spam filtering issue.
Please let me know if you have any problems with missing notifications or notifications being treated as spam.

I think that the configuration is done for now.
It should be compatible with the stricter spam filtering measures that Google and others are threatening to introduce soon.
