You need to come a bit further South than Blackpool !
It's quite a rare car, not too many of them registered for the road in the UK.

If you look closely, you'll see it was raining when I was out on the bike - if it were an X19, it would have dissolved in the rain by the time it got 'round the corner :-D

Can't be though because it's moving under its own power and I see no trail of rust flakes behind it

Indeed it was a TR8 being driven very nicely by .... ermmmmm.... a gent of more mature years than me :) And I can report that, in the 15 minutes I was following it, nothing fell off and nothing broke down...... although the electrics seemed to get a little confused on occasions if he used the indicators and brakes at the same time :-D

It wasn't a bad bike ride for classics - an Austin 7, an MGTC, a Rover P100, and a lovely old flatbed lorry (1950s ?). I would have posted more pictures but the memory card isn't large enough in my bike camera so it overwrote the earlier images :?

Keep the bike camera rolling Bobins. Some interesting spots already so far this season, and you seem to be thriving on the weighty responsibilitites of being the PE Cup holder for the next 12 months :-D

Mention a Rover 100, and its another excuse for me to put up another "Dessin du mois" from Gazoline Magazine

Two very good spots during my 30 mile bike ride today...

No pictures as can't ride and click :(

A Porsche 356 in baby blue just before Olney and a very early Austin 1100 in dark green in Olney itself..

The 1100 I saw a lot running around Newport Pagnell last year so I guess it's a local. Maybe its first outing of 2016...

Random fascinating fact about Olney, as well as being a hotspot for classic car spotting, on New Years Day in 1773, John Newton curate of the parish, penned the words for "Amazing Grace" to be used in his sermon. :!: :)

And famous for the origination of the Shrove Tuesday pancake race!

That 356 in the picture Neil, is the exact colour of the one I spotted..

The baby blue colour and the white "roof" and something about the particular photo had me thinking for a brief moment...bit like a Nissan Figaro :) . Apparently the limited range of original colours for the Figaro were supposed to reflect the 4 seasons.

As for the Austin 1100, friend of mine had a very dark green one, almost black, low milage from his grandad. Subframe mountings rotted away but it was such low milage that he forked out to get it welded up and repaired.

Out of interest, and now very rare, there was a "convertible" available
