Lexia experts, please report to the service desk

Unread post by DDB »

Hey guys,

Need some help with my Lexia v07.04

After entering the VIN number of my Xantia, i get the following error message:

"The communication card is incorrectly installed. The tool must be restarted".

Tried restarting the whole thing repeatedly, but no luck, same error message keeps popping up.

Any ideas/suggestions?

Thanks and regards
Dave

It does that sometimes. I once had it happen 5 times before they software stopped playing silly buggers.

Mine does the same but unplugging the usb then reconnecting usually does the trick. Try waiting a few of seconds before reconnecting the usb. You don't need to relaunch the whole diagbox thing, just click on the lexia panel again.

Hi Dave,

yes agree with Stempy.. at a certain point in the application, I unplug from USB, wait 5/10 seconds or so. then plug back in and then continue

I think the point is after selecting the model type, (Or just before that, I cant remember) but essentially it's at the step that normally causes the error ..

with old C5 - I normally dont enter the VIN, sometimes I have done, maybe it depends on the ignition being on? I usually enter the RPO number though..
with the newer C5 I dont think I need to put any numbers in.. so its not exactly the same for everyone and their vehicles..
