I have a C5 facelift estate with normal headlights and wish to swap them with the .... C5 facelift Hatchback with ACTIVE XENON HEADLAMPS
Is this a big job and can it be done, if so how.
May be breaking the Hatchback in red as the clutch has gone so any interest in it let me know

Re: C5 Headlight SWAP
It's not that simple. You'll need the washer jets, tubing, you'll need to modify or replace the bumper to allow the washer jests and covers, an uprated washer pump, and the headlight wiring will be different. Plus you'll need to code the BSI and ensure the levelling system will work as a minimum and make sure you have the necessary wiring in place.

And you're missing the headlight level sensor on each strut + wiring, 2 ECU's (one for the horizontal movement, and the other for the self-leveling) ... at least this is how it's done on the X7, I don't think the MK2 was vastly different in this aspect

Agreed - I haven't seen any modifications where this has been done - probably because of the expense and time involved.

I "wanted" to do this on mine, but the procedure is more like you want to fit a hydro suspension on a non-hydro suspension car ...GiveMeABreak wrote:Agreed - I haven't seen any modifications where this has been done - probably because of the expense and time involved.
