What year's the C5? If it's all internal lights I don't think there will be a problem anyway.

Most of the interior are 501 wedges and they do not need to be canbus bulbs. If you are changing these for standard glass ones no problems, you can get some good coloured ones that give good results and are cheap enough on fleabay. \however if you are replacing them with LED equivalents, you need to make sure they will fit as LEDs do temd to be longer and wider.

You may also find that they don't dim as smoothly but you could probably remedy that with a ballast resistor somewhere in the circuit.

It's only going to be footwell, door lights and boot lights.

I am not going to put them in the overhead interior lights as i fitted some to my truck and ended up with eye ball ache the next day, Ok i was sat there all night which i wont be doing in the C5 obviously but the rest should be ok.

No, never had any dimming issues at all on the interior, whether fitting filament or LEDs. LEDs on the X7 are great. I have them fitted everywhere in the interior and in the door sills and no issues at all. In fact they run a lot cooler than the glass bulbs and the colours are great. I always use the newer flat blade type LEDs which are perfect for the sills and they really light up the kirb when getting in and out the doors. Any exterior LEDs I have fitted have resistors built into the circuits.

Was thinking of some DRL too. Will measure up and see what's available.

Now I think about it, it was the Xantia that didn't dim properly with LEDs

I assume you mean an aftermarket set as mk 1 & 2s dont have DRLs. Some of these can look quite tacky so think about if first!
