I've had a similar (identical?) report on an exisiting install in the past so I decided to do another install on another dedicated - and bare minimum Windows install - PC I've got here as a back up. When I went to run the original install a couple of days later just to check it again, there were no reports of 'out of date', no issues anywhere, and its been running fine ever sinceharryp wrote:Many thanks to Marc for his dedication.![]()

Is anyone else getting the "" fatal error the installed application is out of date, please update it.""

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
Just to be clear, this refers to SEDREAC and DocBackup
bobins - lucky you
. I'm on Win7, bang up to date, latest Java etc. on my desktop GP PC.
Marc, infos is loaded in both locations, and the 2 .dll's in the folders as a precaution. Tried to re-copy as a check and was offered replacement
. I'm unavailable for about 3+ hours Marc, will PM you on my return. As a copy of Java is not left running (as it used to be), suggests that the message refers to the initalisation phase; unless it is clashing with other software on this PC. May I take it that all should work with "Java Version 8 update 73 build 1.8.0_73-b02"?
Could not find a solution on MMA site, although mentioned.
Richard, did yours load up and run ok?, and are you on a dedicated laptop or a General Purpose PC, as wot i is?
Ah what fun this all is??

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
Thus far failed to get SEDRE to install. On about 4th try now, but it's been at it about 7 hours and not got past about 30% on the SEDRE - no change in the screen, but the disc activity light is still flashing - I think the GUI has crashed as it won't do anything (been here several times already!). Don't think I really need the wiring diags, so I may just stop it, clean it and install only the doc back up which is the bit I'm really interested in. This is Win Vista 32 running on Virtual box on a Win 10 64 bit machine- idea is to have the VM only for Diagbox and doc back up.

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
Got it working I think. Seems that not all virtual DVD drivers are the same - found a recommendation to use Alcohol 120% and it has installed both SEDRE and docbackup (with DVD support rather than a full install, which only takes about 20 mins in total). It said 'Failed' at the end, but it seems to work!

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
Daemon Tools Lite never failed me as a virtual DVD solution (although you need to have .NET 4.0 Framework installed, which might be hard to accomplish on some existing XPs - without doing a clean install that is)

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
Not sure if this is the right thread to post this request on, if not apologies.
I've tried searching but had no joy, I'm looking for someone in or around the Bath area that has the Lexia software to (hopefully) enable cruise control on my 2004 2.0 HDI Berlingo.
I have the instructions on what two settings need to be modified, just no software.

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
Stickyfinger very kindly let me use Lexia on my Berlingo. However it seemed to refuse to "talk" to my car after entering the VIN and RPO.
I'm going to assume that some level of connection was made, as a global test returned an OK dialogue for injection and ABS, but everything else returned a "no". Otherwise I couldn't get further than it telling me to turn off the ignition and back on again.
Has anyone else come across this? It's the first time he's experienced such an issue. Not sure if there may be an incompatibility somewhere.

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
It could be several things, not limited to a virus on the laptop interfering with communication, an issue with the software version / hardware of the diagnostic or an issue with the vehicle itself. Hard to say for sure but it has happened to me once and that was a virus. Once zapped it worked fine again.

Which Berlingo? My 04 plate can be very picky about Lexia. It likes diagbox much more..

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads
Diagbox should launch the most appropriate interface automatically, so there would definitely seem to be a communication issue there.

Re: Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads

A while ago I bought a second hand Chinese Lexia copy & an old laptop running XP. Today I installed the disk, but didn't get as far as connecting to the car before it got cold & dark. I now have a couple of questions; I have 4 discs labeled Lexia Main installation disc (I used this to install), Lexia, Lexia V35 & Lexia V35 Zip files. What are all the other discs for?
Also I had hoped I'd be able to enable the CD Changer port on my daughters Peugeot 207 so she can connect her phone for music, but a screen shot shows a screen with only Citroen models on it. I had thought I'd be able to do Pug as well is that not the case or is there a work around?
