I can't get a pic the cars in the car park at work, I'll try get on later or early morning. I'm thinking the issue may lie with the iso that came with the radio that the c4 iso I've bought plugs into.

It will probably become obvious to you guys who have more knowledge than me once you see a picture . I'm guessing it's something to do with the wiring. Got to be really.

Cheers for the responses, it's much appreciated !

Also what's the best way to add pictures on here just had a quick look but when I click image it just adds words to my comment something in brackets.

You need to upload the picture firs, to some image hosting service (i.e. http://imgup.net/) ... you need to get the uploaded image's direct link, and that full link (http: ... .jpg/.png) needs to be copied between the img tags that you've got with pressing the add image link

This is the iso that plus into the unit. I've not touched it after coming out of the audi. I'm guessing this is where my issue may lie.

My camera is not letting me do the other one until I've charged my battery. I'll get it up asap

Citroen also do their own thing but remote control adaptors are available which interface with standard ISO. VW do their own thing too.The power leads may need to be cut and swapped to connect with the VW unit. The adaptor may need to be supplied with power from a permanent live and an accessory live instead of the ones supplying the original head unit. Also make sure that the head unit hasn't come from a vehicle with the K line issue.
See attached link which details pin outs and some of the issues.

I have fitted ISO aftermarket units to vehicles from both groups but I have never tried fitting the unit intended for VW to PSA or vice versa.

@ johnsonr380 - You say it is a Pioneer from your Dad's Audi - I've assumed up to now that this was itself an aftermarket one which was fitted to the Audi - Can you confirm if the Pioneer was a factory fitted unit from the Audi or was it an aftermarket one fitted to the Audi?
@BX - You've assumed it was an Audi unit - therefore would the K Line issue still apply in this case if it is an aftermarket unit?

Hi mate, it's an aftermarket stereo fitted to the audi but he wanted the original putting in so I took this one for my c4 thinking it'd be simple enough!

I've a vague recollection from when I had my c4 that changing head unit was a bad idea, something to do with the original unit having more to do with the car than you'd think. Not sure I'd be changing it myself.

I'm thinking it maybe more a headache than I thought but the unit is all singing all dancing and cost me nothing. Obviously if there's a way to sort it I'd prefer to have it in.

As you know, I have your C4 now, and after doing some research came to the conclusion it's a total ballache. It is possible , just awkward to do and the connectors aren't cheap. They need to be exactly the right ones.

Top marks to Captain Slow.
I should have remembered that the C4 uses the radio navigation buttons for the dash menus. To set time to select units to standard metric or UK etc.
