Re: C5 X7 ambient lighting (and some other bits and pieces)
There is a C5 coming through the scrappy near me with these wheels on it;
http://www.carsparesreading.co.uk/
I am after a few bits off that C5, but (on Wednesday) it was just to one side waiting to have the fluids drained from it.

Re: C5 X7 ambient lighting (and some other bits and pieces)
Yes, they are. The tyres on mine are 216/55/R16, but I do not know what the offset is. It would be quicker if you called them (which is why I added in their link), as the earliest I will be back there is next Tuesday or Wednesday (I don't have the space to store them, sorry). I believe they do distant purchases. The C5 in question is a light coloured Saloon VTR 04 reg. There were only 3 of the hub caps on the car, but these are about £10 on ebay. The wheels are the 'Hungaro' model, and go for £47 on ebay.

Don't know if it helps, but the alloy in question is a Hungaro model, (like James said), dimensions are 16" 6,5j x 16 ET26 part.no. 5402 L1 ...

Mine stick on the locking nut, but sticks out a bit more than the others - but still tight enough not to fall off.Stickyfinger wrote:Do yours fit on the locking bolt heads....my (Citroen) ones don't , they stick out then fall off

Re: C5 X7 ambient lighting (and some other bits and pieces)
I don't have locking bolts on mine. One of them had (prior to my getting the C5) been tightened up by King Kongs' thick bigger brother. Cost me £20 (and 45 minutes) to get it out. Fortunately the others were tightened by somebody who read the handbook.

Re: C5 X7 ambient lighting (and some other bits and pieces)
I don't believe people nick wheels off many cars these days. On my recent vehicle, a total moron had tightened all the wheel nuts so much that I damaged a 2ft bar trying to get them off. I had to pay a man to remove the locking wheel nuts (£50 and about 5 mins to do all 4!) I replaced them with standard, on the premise that if he can get them off so quickly, I'm sure a thief can..

Re: C5 X7 ambient lighting (and some other bits and pieces)
I've managed to find the Sonax Alloy cleaner at an even cheaper price - 4 GBP (750 ml), regular price at one of the local gas stations ... I've checked the prices in the UK, 7-10 GBP for a 500ml spray bottle?

Re: C5 X7 ambient lighting (and some other bits and pieces)
Natrium mercaptoacetate solution, anionic tenside, scents, limonene, methylisothiazolinone, benzisothiazolinone, sodium pyrithione ... best before deadline: 5 years ... don't ask me which is what of those terms ... btw, the listing reminded me of this gem:
... although, IMO the best version was in the german language.
Regarding the color changing, I've sprayed it in a clean plastic lid, no change ... had it (unintentionally) on my fingers after spraying the wheels, for 2 minutes before cleaning the hands ... no color change occurred .. and, even if the color change is a"magic trick", the cleaning capabilities are definitely not a trick
