Hi all
So I have just put my HDi Xantia back on the road after 5 months sitting about while we tested an Audi A3 for a charging fault.
First day back (yesterday) with it it worked ok for my commute until I got it home when it just stopped during a manoeuvre, it did it again immediately after, both times its started on the button. Today it stalls on the Mrs 6 times between home and her mom's, which wasn't well received (although she still prefers it to the Audi thank goodness!!).
The car is telling me it has a P0335 fault code, is this the Crank Position Sensor on an HDi as indicated on the web? Would this fault make it stall like this? Where is the CPS on a Xantia manual?
All help gratefully received!
thanks

Re: Xantia HDi stalling problem P0335 code
hi XB
I am dealing with same problem this week.. a CP sensor fault.(on a 2.0 petrol) its a fairly innocuous but very important sensor.. yes it would certainly cause stalling or a dead engine..
it will be under the thermostat area, bolted into the bellhousing and not expensive to buy but it may take a few things to be removed before you can see it.. and remove it..
best of luck
John

it could be a wiring issue to the sensor as well Red, or the connector for the wires..
not sure how to test the sensor, but I presume they have an ideal resistance measurement but yours sounds intermittent..
Others will be along soon

Well a new sensor from GSF seems to have solved the fault code!
Guess the commute tomorrow will give it a good test and see if it stalls...
Was a tricky little sucker buried under the head, double jointed fingers required...
cheers

ooh good news!!
yes they are a pig to get to
let us know.. I brought my sensor last night, but I just have the small job of removing the gearbox before I fit it -0 to change the clutch.. I am hopefully a few days behind you
