Mk1 C5 audio system

Post by Stempy »

I'd like to be able to plug the audio output of my smartphone into the audio system, is there an easy interface I could use that would replace the cd multi player? Or any other method for that matter?

I thought of using the audio part of the input for the VDU screen but I think this mutes when the car is moving.

You can get a Connects2 box, like this http://www.incarconnections.co.uk/citro ... -ipod.html
It plugs into the cd changer socket on the back of the stereo.
That's the basic one too. You can get one that are specific for iPhones and iPods that mean the steering controls work for changing the track etc

I would like something like this too. I've found this http://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/131660915664 on eBay, has anyone used one before? My idea is to use that then have a Bluetooth adaptor like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/291544905440 plug into the audio jack and powered from the usb socket and stream music from my iPod/iPhone. Would it work? Has anyone tried it? I have a 2007 C5 with the silver head unit.

Well I have had more success with this than with my electric windows. Just fitted the unit to the car and it works a treat so now I have 8 days of different tunes instead of just the same 6 cd's that I can never be bothered to change, plus hands free phone capability.
