Or it's cause I managed to make a double post (2 posts of the same stuff, cause I had had quote instead of edit) hence then editing out the second post (no option to delete it)...

Throttle body enlargement and port matching under way.

Throttle body to Inlet chambers, note the large mismatch which is causing me a little head scratching at the moment. I cannot get an image (in my head) of what I can do with the throat mismatch [bottom left], I may have to get it re pinned.

Note the generally good surface except in the inlet area and the chamber splitter [or whatever it is called].
I with smooth to that area only and knife edge the splitter.

Any thoughts on the "bulge" on the side of the inlet chamber and why it is there ? [Note: shown at Top of the image, it also has a cosponsoring "cut out" on the outside]

Good effort Stickyfingers

I remember years ago getting my bike gas-flowed by a well known 'tuner' and matched to a Yoshimura exhaust with 'power chambers' ..cost a fortune at the time .... it never ran as well after and on further investigation they had fitted the standard size exhaust gaskets which were now effectively restrictors and the 'power chambers' had just been cut off and welded up [-X

Tried to claim costs back but company had already phoenix-ed into the same company

Interestingly, the gasket is @70mm and the throttle body at 65mm.....the inlet chamber throat is between the two.

I do not really think gas flowing makes much difference and polishing I think degrades the turbulence within the chamber. I will just match the sizes, clean up edges and flash a bit but leave everything rough. The exception to that will be the inlet side of the throttle body which will be polished

Now you know why the old railwaymen used to call your part of the world 'Siberia' Alasdair

Good work though, I'll check my throttle body today, not been in my workshop for days and days now...
