No idea Wurly but interested to see how it goes. Where the hell does 35bhp come from with the same 8v and older type injectors?
Plus improved mpg? Interesting. Do we believe it all.........and the dyno readings? Just wondering if it is all win win.

I was looking at that particular re-map company when I got hold of my Hdi xantia but was sceptical as I waited for a response and got nothing, no contact number either, but online it says (if it's the same company) based in Bristol, Hardy lane Tockington.. Personally I think there's enough power from the 110 after being surprised that it could keep up with a 2009 Vectra and close in on certain inclines. close to 130....

They're just one of many, I just happened to pick that one.

In general, yes it is entirely possible to get increased power/torque without losing fuel economy (or possibly even improving) with a remap. OEM maps are a compromise on a lot of factors. If you throw a couple of those out, you can achieve gains elsewhere. I don't know how good the original map on these engines is, but I can believe there might be gains to be had.

With electronically controlled turbo's, the changes possible can be big.

The one that seems well-recommended with lots of customer testimonials are Angel Tuning: http://www.angeltuning.co.uk/
If I was going for a remap, these are the ones I would use. They used to do discounts for forces members too.

Sorry pal, i was nudging 130 on speedo, vectra driver diesel 1.9cdti tried his best to pull away but the xantia seem to keep up even on slight inclines i was reeling him in, i think he may have had to move over and let me pass if he'd have continued on the motorway.

:rofl2: Oh aye, the same one. When you go over a 100 you become more alert and funnily enough manage to use less of the brake and you lean a little more towards the steering wheel with both hands on wheel. wonder if a dose of nitro fuel would help give it a boost, the 1/8 truck isn't using it not in this weather nor the Baja.
