Hi All,
On christmas eve got my good lady a C3 1.4 hatch with only 4100 miles on the clock,12 mths MOT cost £4,700.
Anything to take note or watch out for ?

My brother has a Mk.1 C3 with the 8v hdi in it... and.. well other then a broken rear nearside door handle, a coil spring and now and again sticky front caliper which Ive changed twice, its been to me amazing! Even had an Injector seal blowing past for the last two years and still going!!
As long as its conventional manual theres little to worry - one of their better cars I think. The EGS gearbox is actually good, its essentially a manual box with two solinoids that change the gears, the solinoids can play up and fail, but are external and not bad to change.

Nothing at all.. apart from front calipers sticky as and when and springs which is more a common things across most makes... and door handles...

Im not sure if the models by this age use the Prince engine and finally laid the TU to rest...
