Jim. I have found about 10 mics, but guess what, they all have multi pin plugs, my old CB has a 4 pin socket but no mike. There are 4 pin plugs on ebay for not a lot of money so if you are prepared to change one I will send you a mike if you PM me your address.

Back on topic :) I could never understand why, if they really based the manuals on an actual strip and rebuild, Haynes didn't list the spanner sizes etc required for each job, which would have been really useful. I wrote and suggested it once, but heard nothing back...
The paper quality is indeed so bad now that many of the pictures are useless for guidance, being very poorly reproduced.

Moderators setting a bad example. [-X

I have Haynes manuals going back to the '70s and they were a lot more informative and of better quality but of course the cars were not so complicated. I think so few people do their own repairs now that its not worth them producing them now, the cheap paper was probably an attempt to cut costs.

I have manufacturers manuals for my early cars, the first being a 1951 Hillman Minx and you could completely rebuild the car with the information in it.

They were certainly much better years ago. I think my first was for my Renault 4 - my second car.
First car, Hillman Minx, didn't last long enough to need one :(

Haynes Manuals are available on-line , probably with links to buy stuff related to what you are looking up. Standard price £20 for 1-year, or £25 for "lifetime" access. No oily fingerprints on the poor quality paper, save those for your keyboard or touch screen :)

Here's the Citroen Selection
