The two vans which basically transport the entire convention I'm at this weekend have French XUD hearts I believe. Two very scruffy old LDV Convoys.

Image

The Blue one has well over a million miles on the clock and is held together entirely by duct tape, cable ties and willpower. There are quite a few stories floating around of roadside repairs where it has been bodged back together using nothing but parts of itself.

Not sure what the power unit in the red one is for certain, but they certainly both sound like XUDs, and I know that the last mid 90s one I worked on had an XUD under the bonnet.

My home town and the Post Office where my dad worked for 30 years :D

I will be there next Saturday...

There's a lot of Xantias (and other older Citroëns) still knocking around the Langport area as there's a very good Citroen specialist in the town and in the forecourt there's always always something interesting to see...

Black AX spotted heading out of the car park literally about 30 minutes ago from the Mercure Livingston hotel car park while I was grabbing something from the car.

Pretty sure it's not been about all weekend as I'd have expected to notice it as we've been in and out of the car park a few times. Hope they didn't just arrive to be scared off by us lot!

Yesterday afternoon I spotted a silver N plate I think, S1 Xantia hatchback just outside Fyvie heading towards Oldmeldrum.

I waved automatically...but was in a Transit van so probably wasn't noticed even if it was an enthusiast who owned it!

Surprise I hadn't noticed how many ZX's & Zsara'a in particular there still are in use around Torbay - but then Morris Minors, MGB's & the odd Stag are common sightings down there.

Just had to deliver my daughter to Whitley Bay and while expertly navigating (Lost) the streets there spotted a black Xantia that looked very good but got no details unfortunately.
Also spotted a two-tone* Renault 21 a couple of weeks back. Again a brief encounter so no details.

Just a few minutes ago spotted a red (Dante red I think) X plate Xantia in central MK. Don't recall seeing that one before...

One such used to live in Two mile Ash Zel and was owned by a forum member... I believe he sold it but it may well have remained in the area.. last time I saw it the condition of it was very good...
