Well, on the way home this evening I saw these. I apologise for the poor quality of the photo, camera phone;

They are owned by the same person (the driver of the open topped E-Type).

At least the top is down stilll as the illusion of summer is clung onto!

25 Points for one E-type from I-Spy Classic Cars, but its end of season sale time now so its spot one get one free 50 points, and for a double garage fill up spot with a nice view of the tarmac and tyre marks.....take 100!

First a P1800 in pale metallic blue with flapper whitewalls and predictable "ST-1800" or similar plates.
Then an Alfa 164 of the standard issue, FWD V6 variant, in a medium metallic blue. I desperately wished to be alongside it in my almost matching Peugeot 605.
addo wrote:Bright yellow Goggomobil berline spotted. Not sure of exactly what variant, had side windows behind the doors and a fairly upright rear screen.
Its been a fruitful Winter classic car spotting season for you addo! P1800 is a 25 pointer The Alfa 164 seing as it has a redhead?? 30 and the Goggomobile got to be 50, no-one ever sees one of those literally on the road. Oh yes and the SOGOF takes your haul to 210 points!

Probably not this variant you saw but it is from Australia!

Aaaagggghhhhhh !!!! Such a shame I'm going to miss out on such a bargain !! It's the Goodwood Revival this weekend and I could have shuffled down to the end of my road and photographed dozens of classics on their way to the event as I'm on one of the feeder routes. Alas, I shall be away in Germany :( Better luck next year #-o
Sadly no longer a C5 owner :(

Of course standard 15, doubled up to 30, plus a bonus 20......50 points!

.....yes the bonus 20.....pure bias on my part. My first car was a little tartan red Austin Mini 1000, lots of chrome to polish, slidey windows, big steering wheel and if you forgot your keys you could always start it with a screwdriver :) Great fun to drive.

Standard 30 each for the Austin Healey but only 5 for the 2cv, doubled up to 130..........

....but a 2-tone bonus (ordinary) if any of the spots were 2-tones (x 2)

Image

and a 2-tone (special) bonus for an unusual two tone( x 3)

Did it still have these though? Quadruple points for a working trafficator :!:

edit.... maybe a schoolboy error from me thats an A30 with the trafficators, not sure if the A35 had them.

Yes, the A35 had indicators Neil.. I carefully noted it was an A35 by the presence of the bigger rear window...

Many A30s were retrofitted with indicators so now one with working fornicators is a very rare sight indeed...

That black and gold Healey looks marvellous, but needs a pilot with the sartorial nous of someone like Bunny Roger.

I spotted a home-grown item Friday evening, 1978 Ford Falcon hardtop in yellow with Cobra trimmings. Parked (of course!) in Kings Cross...
