I have tweaked a board setting to give those who have wall-to-wall monitors a wall-to-wall forum to fill them.
If it causes any side effects, I will revert the setting.

Perfectly normal to me :-D

The forum page is now taking up more of the screen, now the margin is down to 5 1/2" wide each side.

As reported above, the white space either side is narrower now. Much better imo but still dead space of course.

Seems to have sorted itself now, but earlier today (17:00ish) it was refusing to rememner I was logged in on any of my devices if I navigated away or closed by browser - but as stated now seems to be working fine so looks to be sorted.

You lot were really quick about the upgrade, hats off to those involved!

Looks very smart and a lot of work must have gone into it to make the transition look so smooth from our side, well done gentlemen.
Lots of new buttons too, can't wait to use them all and break something!

One of our prototypes did have the 'like' button.. I'll have a chat with my administrative colleagues concerning that in due course but for now we want the forum to bed-in and settle down before any further tweaking...
Well done on the upgrade, it looks good on my screen.

I think the 'like' button should stay on Facebook where it originated. It can have a negative impact, on smaller forums like this and others I know people's 'likes' are generally well known and the robust conversation demonstrates such! Personally I find it a tad childish, but that's only an opinion.

I have now increased the maximum width further, to twice its original value.
You will need to spend serious money to get a monitor that exceeds that

A little addition is the the BB code for stage fright strike through font which use can use while editing text.

just use:

Code: Select all

[str]stage fright[/str]
or the str button.

Full screen for me now, although it wasn't too bad yesterday. As Malcom would say, shrinkage is something we suffer as we get older (as i say this, I doff my hat to malcom).

A large Thank You to Forum Admin for arranging such a smooth up-grade. Pats on the back all round

Edit: A PS - I've lost my Log-Out button, unless it's hidden somewhere :( No, Found It
