Remember the black c2 sensodrive I owned briefly and hardly used because it was broken and in the stealer for 7 weeks and cost a total of over £1100 to fix? I spotted it on Gumtree, done 13000 miles since I sold it a year ago, advertised as spares or repairs due to non starting and being told by the same stealer that it could be well over £1000 to fix.

Other news, Shauns 205 gti is at last fully working apart from the temperature gauge and has made its way from my daughters in Elgin to much nearer home and left at the mot station. It is apparently running really well and quite a bit more power than before. It is a bit of a hybrid with the 1.6 gearbox and 1.9 carb fed engine. I await it's return home with interest. The next job, in line for a dry day is a bit of demolishing a raised flower (weed) bed in the front garden to allow room for 3 cars to park off road, so only one will be on the street.

Excellent news on the 205GTi. A carb compared to the old Bosch LU2 Jetronic injection is possibly a very good modification!

I'm glad I got rid of it! Never again will I buy a semi auto. Either a full auto or a manual.

It will be a slow start to my new career, but I know one thing already, I NEED something with the 1.9td engine and a bosch fuel pump. Unlimited amounts of waste veg available for me! I will need lessons on filtering it or treating it for use [emoji4]

Shauns 205 had a bigger failure sheet than mine. Some silly little things, and a bit more welding than mine needs. One sill and one seat belt mounting. A welder will be busy here at the weekend!

I can see that a heater will be useful in the cold of a Scottish winter, but can the car electrics handle the load?

Needs a lick of paint the correct colour, and a nice, cheap upgrade, having found out the price of a genuine new one. The bumper is brand new old stock and the valance used and the fogs new old stock. My own front bumper is so discoloured it would need painting anyway, this was very cheap from a local 205 gti enthusiast who has a show winning one. He has also just bought brand new red inserts for £600, as his front one is marked. Guess where his very slightly marked inserts are going! [emoji4]

I'll put a c5 diesel battery into the 205 and an upgraded alternator in then I can get more heaters and heat it like an oven just in case I ever use it for fast food deliveries [emoji13] [emoji23]
