Re: The Pickled Egg-Cartoon of the month-April

Post by NewcastleFalcon »

Oh Dear. The Landlord of the Pickled Egg received this through the post today...
Dear Pickled Egg Landlord

General Election Purdah Directive-Sat Apr 04, 2015 9:29 am

"Between now and well beyond the UK General Election is it hereby requested that no political discussions are entered into in your Drinking Establishment.

Such discussions, should they appear, are likely to result in the boys being sent round...

By Order of

Da Management
Sent the landlord into a bit of a panic. 7 guest Beers with possibly more to follow, had been put on the handpulls as a bit of a liquid opinion poll. Just the type of thing to get the Pickled Egg a bit of national publicity over the next few weeks. So as a token of respect the clips of the handpulls have been amended.

And as a back up plan, more cordials, and fruit based soft drinks have been ordered.

Re: The Pickled Egg-Guest Ales

Post by NewcastleFalcon »

The Pickled Egg is arguably Britains best virtual pub, with the best virtual juke box, best virtual jokes and best virtual pub games.

It can now offer an infinite number of the best virtual drinks, beers, ales, lagers, spirits, liquers, interesting non-alcoholic drinks, tea, coffee, and bovril

I have to tell you though that the long arm of the law has been in to the Pickled Egg, and fired a shot across our Landlord's bows, but I feel there is nothing more British than the double-entendre, and I have a feeling the Pickled Egg customer does like a double-entendre when coming into the Pickled Egg for a drink.

Image

The Pickled Egg is definitely one bar which you can walk into and ask our bar staff for a double-entendre and be certain to be given one!

regards Neil

Nice polite definition- "A double entendre is an ambiguity with one interpretation that is indelicate."

Well summer is here, beer festivals and al fresco drinking in the "beer garden" are the order of the day at the Pickled Egg.

Always at the cutting edge of new developments here is the Landlord's lastest investment should a drop of rain threaten to interrupt the festivities.

Yes, its the inflatable "Pickled Egg"

You would expect the inflatable pub to have an inflatable fireplace :!: with an inflatable fish in an inflatable cabinet above it

They look serious devices... What are they apart from being comedy fore extinguishers? What's their purpose?
