Thanks Neil, I've not not learnt to do that yet. I'm almost certain its a Trabant and presumably its a period accessory. Careful how you get up in the morning eh!!

Davie, that would definitely be a head-turner for me. Yes it could be construed as being a monstrosity, but not for me....odd, nice colour, and with a couple of hundred thousand miles behind the wheel of a couple of Sierras myself there's a bit of affection/nostagia for the old jellymould still there.

If thats an original spot, worth a standard 15 points from I-Spy Classic Cars, but bonus points aplenty would be waiting for spotting that particular combination "at a show" or "on the road" :)

Not exactly a motorhome or a camper but a nice little combination nevertheless :)

That is lovely Neil :-D

So sad we've lost so much style these days... A Chelsea Tractor towing a high-spec modern caravan just doesn't cut it compared to that...

The leadlights gave me a chuckle.

Can anyone else here picture an Activa towing a caravan with ARCS?

Yes, there was a person who used to arrive at rallies in an Activa tugging a caravan...

Ahh yes, they need it as they are generally quite roly-poly on their springs...

and here are some more Trabants with the tents on the top
(pic. is from http://www.trabant-dachzelt.de/index.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)

By the way some years ago I had the chance to drive a Trabant (without the tent on top) in Hungary. It was a very very interesting experience 8-) Steering, brakes and several other functions work with real muscle power.
