Here's my hat-trick from Barnard Castle

A mini cooper for 15 points

Image

I thought this would be a Land Rover Series 1 from the plate, but looks like its a bit of a cobbled together pick up, and the headlights on the wings are a much later feature. A Genuine series 1 would get me 35 points, so I reckon 30 is fair for this one.

Image

and a Sunbeam imp from Belgium for 25 points and an extra bonus of 1 point for its unusualness.

Image

yes and either photobucket or my photography seems to have a mind of its own today! Its taken me 20minutes to get those the right way up!

Well the comparible in the book is definitely the Lotus Elise mk 1 at 15 points

That'll be a Series III SWB truck cab that's had a replacement bulkhead as the original one would have rusted out. :)
Sadly no longer a C5 owner :(

One other snap automemorbilia

you can be sure of shell, slightly distressed sign, from a garage at Cotherstone which hasn't seen petrol action for decades
