Just seen this thread so I thought I'd share the information I managed to gather whilst researching this subject a year or so back.
The GSF and the e bay P bushes are so cheap they have got to be rubbish, likewise the complete arms, I've seen Lemforder arms advertised but only from a company that are known to supply fake parts, so I doubt they are any better than the other cheap arms.
The most valuable information I found was that the genuine Citroen P bushes have alignment marks on them to match up with marks on the (original) arms, dots I believe, this takes any guesswork out of the fitting at the correct angle, which from the stories of premature failure seems to be critical.
Like Xantia boy I also live in Barnet, hi, I got mine from Quickco in Borehamwood, first class service, they even gave me some discount on the genuine parts which meant they weren't THAT much more expensive than the cheapies.
I hope your bushes last well Xantia boy, if not I'd recommend you to use BL auto's in Welwyn garden city who know more about Citroens than Citroen UK. They fitted my bushes and all is still well, can't recommend them enough.

Hi Isisalar,

I bought a couple of new arms. complete with wishes from Citroën Hatfield, who were kind enough to give me a bit of discount off the full price! I had them fitted by my favourite local garage for £60.00 cash and since when I've had no more trouble! The car runs fantastically smoothly, exactly as it ought to, and I've learnt a lesson; original parts matter!

I've been examining the old ones and have been unable to remove the arm from the bush, even when using a 3 piece puller! Even though they were moving when fixed in the car, I can't move them....

I dread to think what the genuine ones cost but I must agree that would be the best option, and of course far less labour to fit.
